Vice President of API Security

Oz Golan is the Vice President of API Security, a growth pillar of Akamai’s Security Technology Group. In this role, he leads product management and engineering for Akamai’s API Security solutions.

Golan joined Akamai in 2024 as part of Akamai’s acquisition of Noname Security, where he was the co-founder and CEO. Noname was founded as an API Security platform that helps companies protect their application programming interfaces (APIs) from vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and attacks. The addition of Noname to Akamai’s existing API Security capabilities extends protection across all API traffic locations, no matter the business, integration, or deployment requirements.

Prior to Noname, Golan held multiple leadership positions including Research Team Lead and Director of R&D in the Israeli cybersecurity sector.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in both Physics and Computer Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
